Would You Go Bare-Faced? #BeautyDebate

Going out into the world completely make up free scares me. I'm a bit ashamed to admit that but being bare faced makes me feel vulnerable. I'm not as confident but more importantly I'm not as happy. Aint nobody got  time for that.
I know for some reading, you don't have this problem. Some of my friends my age don't really enjoy wearing make up and only wear it on special occasions. The main reason I wear make up is so that I feel better about myself, good make up empowers me. With a red lip I feel like I can achieve anything. I would never rock up to work sans make up. I don't think I'd look as professional, is that bad? This leads me onto another question I have - Do people treat you better when you wear make up? A topic for another #BeautyDebate I think..

I want to know your thoughts on this weeks #BeautyDebate...

  1. I've turned up to work without make up before and people asked whether I was unwell. Not impressed! I'm quite happy to be make-up free if I'm just lounging at home or popping to the supermarket, or going for a walk etc, but other than that, I do stick with make-up!

  2. I wear makeup simply because I enjoy applying it but I have no trouble leaving the house with none on. I have friends that simply will not go out anywhere without it, which I also fully understand- why feel unconfident if there's no need to?

    1. I actually look forward to doing my make up just because I enjoy applying it!

  3. i very rarely wear make up as i really don't like the feel of it on my skin but i do wear it on special occasions or if I'm going out. I can completely see where you are coming from and I think it is a confidence booster

    1. It's so much better only occasionally wearing make up, I wish I could be more like that!

  4. I have no problem not wearing make-up when I'm lounging around at home but I don't like to leave the house bare faced. I'm not a confident person so I find that wearing a little bit of make-up makes me feel more comfortable when leaving the house. x

  5. I think the older I get and the more comfortable I become in my body the more likely I am to go out without makeup, we all just have to feel comfortable and everyone's getting their at their own pace. lovely post xx

  6. Greats thoughts. I do agree with you, I can't go out without makeup. It's mainly because of acne scars I've got all over my cheeks. I hope I'll feel better with my skin one day xx

  7. I'm with you on this one - it makes me feel quite vulnerable if I have no make up on. I probably would go bare-faced but I never feel comfortable until I've done my eyebrows haha xx

  8. Ahh this is so uncomfortable - I don't go makeup free, but some days I'll just use a BB cream and curl my eyelashes :S

    Really really interesting debate! xoxo

  9. I love this! I'd never leave the house with no makeup on, but I'd go out with just concealer and mascara - just o make me feel a little bit more human and non mole like! xx

  10. I always feel confident if my skin is good and I don't need makeup and I think the natural look is sometimes better also then when you do put on makeup it's more fun! I think light makeup is good! Great post!

  11. I love make up, but I equally love no make up days it's nice too let my skin breathe every once in awhile. At work I usually just opt for mineral makeup and a little mascara things are pretty minimal. I have a lot of hyper pigmentation though that can make my skin appear super dull/lack lustre so I feel like make up really brightens up my complexion :) xx
